The Lore Behind the Song:

The poem, A Voice from the Past, was written in the year 2383 AC. and is attributed to Varsia's sixth specter, Leila. The poem, oddly enough, was contributed to the Chronicles of Continuity at some point after Leila's death. Yet, it is said by the caretakers who watch over the Chronicle building, that Leila delivered the piece personally.

Some time later a centaur named Raziyev found the poem and put it to music. Raziyev and his musical comrades performed the song in various settings as they traveled through the Traylin Realm. At one point the group, going by the name Hooves of Thunder, even performed the song at the great tavern of Deanemis.
